North Carolina Association for Parents of Children with Visual Impairment
Parent Support Meetings may be an open discussion meeting or may include special guests. Parents can talk and share ideas; previous meetings included discussions on feeding issues, morning/bedtime routines, behavior challenges, transitions, etc.
Parent support meetings are held at the Governor Morehead School for the Blind, 311 Ashe Ave., Raleigh. Childcare is provided, but you must RSVP to reserve you spot.
Meetings will be from 10 am – 12 noon.

Discussion topics will include discipline issues, family acceptance, public awareness, coping, etc. Parents will have a chance to talk with other parents about various issues, concerns and experiences. Childcare will be provided, but you must RSVP , drop off will start at 9:30.

Sat, March 20th: Parent Resource Session

Located at GMS Campus
Representatives and/or information will be available from the Miracle League, Abilitations Childrens Therapy, Family Support Network, Parks & Recreation of Raleigh, Governor Morehead Outreach programs and many more. Childcare will be provided by the NC Assocation of Blind Students (with adult supervision). Children will get to interact with blind students/teenagers in a combined effort of community service and advocacy for blind people.
Sat, May 22nd: End of Year Social Event & Board Re-Elections
